Final Car

This is my final car design I've been testing it out and it does the job. So its the same as the first and the second. So I'm back down to one level because it added to much weight. So like the first one its one level with slots cut out for the wheels and to get rid of the balloon dragging on the wheels in the front I added an arch for the balloon to rest on. So this is my final car, my trials have been going well as well.

New Plan

Okay the last design had a few flaws I'll admit. The balloon car wasn't getting very far because of the balloon was rubbing against the wheel which were restricting the movement. So now the base is still the same but I have added a second plat form on top of it as to raise the balloon so there is no restriction. I still have the top covered with cardboard and at the front it is bent down so it will cut through the air and the air can travel over top instead of under neath of it and get all messed up wit the under side of my car. So the posted pictures are of my new car design.

First Car

So for my first car I have chosen to use the canex pieces for this car, because it's light weight and is very sturdy. My car is very slim in width but has a larger base to stabilize the balloon. The canex make the body which then a piece of cardboard I cut out has been put over top of and a slit cut for each wheel. The balloon I have chosen is quite large, but I am still working on a mechanism of how to control the air flow.

Starting My Car

I'm in the midst off deciding of what to make my car car out of. On one hand I have a cardboard like material with wheels as suck, which are light wait and will be the car faster. I'm leaning more towards canex though because they are light weight but still structurally sound. My idea for this car is to have a good structurally base for the balloon to sit on and medium wheel size for minimal friction, more rotations and to keep it light weight.
